Krista Houstoun is a former magazine writer and editor turned full-time freelance writer and editor, with a BS in Sociology from Northern Arizona University.
Previously Krista worked as an associate editor for a national healthcare magazine and content director and editor for Wellness & Writing Retreats and Consulting. She was a columnist for Portland, Oregon’s Just Out Newsmagazine and has contributed to The Los Angeles Review, Curve Magazine, Thought Catalog, Willamette Week, Echo Magazine, and more. Additionally, she has experience in higher education marketing as a content strategist and lead writer at Northern Arizona University. She is also a seasoned copywriter/editor, having worked with clients such as Green Rising Marketing.
Krista lives in Arizona and is a dog-mom to her two rescue pups, Stevie (Nicks) and Gatsby (the Great).
